We beat Del Rio yesterday. Of course. Kept them under 30! I think the score was like 69-29. Something like that.
And our boys beat Del Rio too! Yes!
Just wanted to apologize that I haven't been udating a lot lately. I've been getting a little busy. But, any members, even though there aren't much right now, feel free to update on what you know is going on around school. Whatever program you're in, we'd love to hear about what's new! Thanks a lot!
The girls basketball team has had three district games so far, against O'Connor, Del Rio, and Clark. We have won all three games. Our next game is Tuesday against Warren. GO!
Wow, I know that no one really comes here, but now the moderator has abandoned it. Anyways! I'll keep up the sports end. :-D We had our first district basketball game on Friday against O'Connor. We won. I believe it was 52-46, at least that's what someone told me. We play Del Rio on Tuesday @ Del Rio. Feel free to go to the game. lol
Both the boys and girls varsity basketball teams were in tournamnents this past weekend. I could only find information for one of the boys games and it was against Roosevelt. They lost by just 1 point! Better luck next time guys.
And for the girls, I know they only won 1 game at their tournament. They play tonight against Reagan so hopefully they can redeem themselves.
We won our game today against Roosevelt. We had 50 something and they had 30 something. Now on to Judson on Tuesday, I believe.
The boys varsity basketball team play Lee High School on Monday November 15, @ 6p.m. at Paul Taylor field house. Be sure to go out and support our boys!
We, the girls basketball team had our first pre-season game vs. Churchill yesterday. We didn't win, I think the final score was like 56-39 or something like that. You can check sasports.com for the offical, and maybe some pics. We have our next game Saturday vs. Roosevelt. Come out and see us play!
The JV and Varsity girls basketball teams are having a scrimmage tonight vs. Kerrville! Please, go and support them!
Next year, supposedly, Holmes, as well as other NISD schools will be moving to a 7-period a day schedule. Students will have 7 fifty-minute classes everyday. This will cause students to have less time with their teachers, more homework each night, and less time to do that homework. Students will be having the same classes everyday, giving them only one night to finish homework for all 7 classes. This new schedule is to save money, so, NISD will also be cutting back on jobs. Some schools will even have to eliminate or cut down on certain organizations like band, choir, orchestra, debate and speech. NISD officials have even said it might get to the point where fees will have to be charged for these extra-curricular activities.
I got most of this information from mysa.com, I'll post the link as soon as I find the exact page.
